Welcome to our new Mission Education Coordinator for the Missionary Childhood Association, Paul Cillo.  Paul began his new role in June 2023.  As the MCA Mission Educator, he works in collaboration with and support teachers, parents and catechists as they share the “Good News” and work of Missionaries in dioceses around the world with the young people of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.  He is available to each of you to develop integrated programs to form your students as Missionary Disciples.  Through easy-to-implement ideas that complement your existing catechetical program, Paul will be able to support the Church’s Mission and yours to help students learn about their baptismal responsibility to evangelize, grow in understanding of the lives of children their age in the developing world and become active Missionary Disciples through their own witness, prayer and sacrifice.

Prior to this role, Paul spent the last five years as a teacher and school minister at Our Mother of Consolation Parish School.  He taught kids from PRE-K3 through 8th grade and focused on catechesis, prayer and service.  In addition to being in a school, he has also served as a youth minister in the parish for the high school teens.  He is excited to continue to share the Catholic faith with students and to help them see their connection to the universal Church.

Paul looks forward to continuing the wonderful initiatives already present in the Archdiocese including the Religion Bee, Christmas Art Contest, virtual Monday World Mission Rosaries and visiting and presenting to schools, youth groups and PREP programs, as well developing some new ideas.

Please join us in welcoming Paul to our Mission team.  He looks forward to speaking and meeting you and being a part of your role in shaping Missionary Disciples.
